Cannabinol (CBN) is a cannabinoid that forms as tetrahydrocannabinol in Cannabis sativa oxidizes over time.
Cannabinol is a degradation product. It forms gradually as tetrahydrocannabinol is exposed to air and light and oxidizes. Aged plant material therefore tends to show a higher proportion of cannabinol on a certificate of analysis.
Its molecular formula is C21H26O2. The oxidation that produces it introduces an aromatic ring that distinguishes it from its parent compound.
Every batch we ship is third-party lab tested with a certificate of analysis on file.
